Bravo. I always love waiting to see how you'll handle the multiple singing or instrumental parts of the track. Ya got the knack. Keep on keepin' on.

I just love everything you did in this, including the falsetto, and I almost broke out in spontaneous applause when you whipped out the 3-part harmony. Great job, Al. The mic is a success.

Al,

What a great job! I loved your voice during the verses. I don't think I've ever heard you sound better, to be honest. I learned this song after Neil posted the lesson, and I agree that it's a blast to play. I love the picking part on the verses.

Loved it!

Suzi

Thanks for the compliment on my vocals, Suzi. I find I'm just relaxing a bit more with singing. Maybe that's helping?

Just perfectly beautiful!

And amazing strumming/picking - I had my nose glued to the screen trying to see what you've done there...

Lil- Thanks for your comment. But you'd be better served gluing your nose to Neil's lesson. I tried to copy what he did. Only tweaks I did was to add the 2nd guitar part (bass run) and I added a G7 chord during the chorus just after the Orbison part.

Michael- Thanks for the comment(s).

Stuart- Thanks- and be kind if and when I upload a clunker please.

Dennis- Spontaneous applause- Love it! Re. the mic- I wrote a bit about it in the Techie Group. I'm still feeling it out-- it might be more suited to vocals with fingerpicking guitar. Strumming with a pic was a bit problematic at times. Will mess around some more.

If you're interested, TG--

There's a short discussion on dynamic vs. Condenser mics in the TG Techie Group here:
