Pete,

I've listened to a few Zac Brown band tunes but not this one. Nice job. I really enjoyed it. I saw them play with Jimmy Buffet recently on our music TV station.

Good-Goin' Pete! I've heard that song a few times and it is definitely growing on me. I like your version a lot!
Thanks for posting this. Working on any more Neil Young stuff?

Pete, after watching your video I found the original tune on YouTube and I was disappointed that ZB's orchestration was not the simple guitar I had hoped for.

I much prefer yours because I really enjoy sloooooww folk music rhythms and voicings.

Thanks for this,
Pierre

Thanks to all for watching, I did this because my kids like this band, and then I saw in on the awards show and thought I'd give it a try.
Mike- Thanks, they are a good band . He has a song called Martin it is about his guitar, worth a listen!
Chris- Well no one tops Willem's Birthday song, but I did work on this one on my birthday!
Tony- Thanks, and hey it's not so dark over here, it's even a nice place to visit!
Bill- Thanks for watching!
Willem- I will try to post the lyrics at the bottom of this
Buddy- I actually thought you should do this, it really needs your voice on this song, or maybe do Chicken Fried!
Andy-thanks, just not enough hours in the day to practice/play as much as I would like!
Jay-Thanks the original is really good, and sung with a lot of emotion.
Dennis-Thanks, it takes awhile for me to post, just have to record it close my eyes and hit send!
Marc- Thanks, wish I could have been in NY, at least to watch from a corner! Can't wait for the videos to come out!
Craig- Thanks for watching!
Bob- Thanks, I think they do Toes or something together, there may be another one they do as well. Looking forward to seeing the videos from NY!
Cori-Thanks, there are several NY songs I plan to work on soon, right now I am back into Beatles, but I have to say that for some reason "I'm Looking Through You" is kicking my butt, I hope it is one of those songs that suddenly comes to me, but right now it is giving me fits!
Pierre- Thanks, I may have slowed this one down a little too far!

OK, I am not sure if this will work but here are the lyrics and the chords. Interesting point, I read somewhere that the words Colder Weather are a metaphor for drugs, so if you think of that and kind of replace the words it does take on a different meaning.
Thanks,
Pete

You ain't ever gonna change G D
You got a gypsy soul to blame A
And you were born for leavin'
