This is part of me chronicling my progress - this is a "before" picture as it were. Well almost, I have never played this without a pick until the last two weeks.

Hopefully as I learn to do things more correctly (positioning, fingering, picking, etc.) in attempting to relearn this instrument the right way, at some point I will be ready to take an "after" picture showing vast improvement. At least that is my goal - I know that will be a long while from now.

Hope you like it even in it's current raw form - without a pick I certainly miss a lot of the runs right now. It is alos only the first half of the song although the second half is basically more of the same with a few twists. I would love to see a lesson for this song here also :-)

PLEASE NOTE: If video was recently uploaded it will not work yet. YouTube will need a little more time to get the video ready. Please check back again soon.

Wow Scott,
Very impressive "before picture", I can't imagine the "colorfull" one. :)

As Willem said there is "Recommend a Lesson" page where you can vote for it.

Well played on such a beautiful song,

Thanks for the link to the suggested, Abilio. I made it 34. I was lucky enough to have someone teach me what I know of this because I never would have figured it out on my own.

Scott- you are well on your way with that song! Anyone who takes on a Steve Howe song is my hero because he doesn't play anything even close to easy. Maybe one of the most underrated guitarists ever yet his body of work is amazing.

Keep posting these as you go and great job so far!

Cheers! :cheer:

Scott,

Good work. My vote makes it 35 and ties it with Cowgirl in the Sand. Hope you get your lesson. You're already pretty far along with this one.

This is a classic song and I think you are doing well on it.

I voted for this song a long time ago so can't vote for it again.
This is exactly the type of song that Neil does such a great job teaching.
