Bob - Thank you. BTW we haven't seen anything from you in a long time (well at least I haven't).....

Tom - Thank you. I am pretty proud and pleased that I can play a Tommy song passingly. Ready for a concert? Never ever. I'm strictly a bedroom hacker.

You guys are great tackling such songs and what a great job too.
I've never sat and watch Tommy Emmanuel until now.
Where have I been....

I've spent the last few hours watching Tommy Emmanuel again and again.

It's mesmerising he's so non - stop entertaining to watch.
You think he's going fast .... then he goes faster.... then he goes turbo.... WOW!

As well as entertaining the audience you can see he's entertaining himself too

What an amazing rendition of Windy and Warm .... blown away!!

Gosh, what can't he do with a guitar?

Edit
It's been brought to my attention......several times.....
Hey, if you guys are sick of me adapting and posting stupid pictures let me know.
I'm just trying to lighten up things until I can play something!
It's a guitar site... I don't want to be annoying folk!
I can't help being a nutter it comes natural.
Pity guitar doesn't!

:S
Everybody is trying to be funny,,I have a big scrapboek,,so I won't forget how funny they were..love your humor Dermot,,its TE's humor I love the most and my goal is not to play like him,,well maybe a riff or run by 10 notes,,very slow..

I don't think anyone could play like Tommy Emmanuel he is as unique as they come eh?

I really enjoyed the TG interviews too.
He comes across as down to earth and always giving to his audience.

I've become obsessed watching him play!

Dermot,

I'm so happy you have found TE! He is amazing and very inspirational. There are so many TE YouTube videos out there it will take you a long time to get through half of them. And then there are all the TE wanna-be YouTube videos to watch. Some of them are also amazing!

And I too enjoy your humor.

Daryl

Hello Daryl

Tommy Emmanuel said in one of his interviews....
If you want to be a good finger picker .... start with a few easy songs..... and then learn lots of songs.

So I'm in the right place for well taught songs.
No shortage at TG

Countrywide

PLEASE NOTE: If video was recently uploaded it will not work yet. YouTube will need a little more time to get the video ready. Please check back again soon.

I've been really enjoying trying to learn some of Tommy Emmanual's songs.
They are difficult and technically challenging, but man do they sound great.

Anyway, I've been working on Countrywide for a few weeks now.
I can play it pretty well now, but of course not in front of the camera.
There's lots of flubs in this video, but I'm going to upload it anyway.

Of course, you really should watch how this song should be played! :)

Awesome Tom,,pity a bout the flubs ,maybe the cam could'nt get up with the quick notes'.lol (not sure if I can be a bit funny),maybe its time for a bright sounding guitar..Or some other audio recording stuff  ,, I find it a very nice tune from Tommy E.. and I think it would be great lesson here..

Your on your way from being Tom to Tommy..
