Seeing some of the new Dylan songs go up inspired me to look into this old classic of his You Gotta Serve Somebody. I found a real bluesy rendition by Etta James that I really liked and put this together. Let me know what you think, Bud

That was wicked good. You played and sang it like an old "go to" song. WOW!

Buddy, I sure agree that you nailed this, and I can learn a lot from observing your playing here.
Really, really cool.

That said, I wonder what this might become if you tried it in a more laid-back vocal style, and explored more of your lower vocal range.
I have the impression that this would be newer territory for you (?) ... depending on the song, could be even more soulful y'know B)

Just a thought. It's always a pleasure to see you post.

Pierre

Great percussive playing! How do you remember all those lyrics? It didn't appear to me that you were reading them. Three chords?

Excellent Buddy or is it Mr Blues? It's always a pleasure watching you perform a new tune. You really hammered it home at the end. :)

Can you play piano as well?...........

Woha! you were really getting into that Buddy... and you strung me along with you the whole way. I really like to percussive playing and the sliding... very cool, not to mention great vocals. Damn fine job!

Hey Bud. Really, really solid. I gotta strongly agree with Pierre, I'd love to see you (or hear you) take a laid back approach to a tune. Maybe this one maybe another. You have SUCH a strong voice that it's never, ever gonna sound thin so something laid back would be really nice to hear. I thought that was a great suggestion.

Having said that, I'm just trying to offer something for you to try. There's no doubt that you nailed this big time.
