Busking NEIL DIAMOND

In the middle 70's, Neil Diamond really had this rock/pop "gravitas" ...

I'm kinda proud of having made a teenage effort, way back then, by asking my mom into my room to hear this tune "Play Me".

She loved the tune, as I did, for it's artistic merit ... I still smile remembering her facial expression when afterwards I showed her the album cover showing long and bushy-haired Neil Diamond !

My mom had expected to see a picture of her idea of a middle-aged short-haired crooner ! Who was this young long-haired impostor ?

But seriously Buddy, this was really great, so very vibrant, touching ... and my mom would have agreed (without making a funny face) ;)

Great adaptation Bud!!! I really enjoyed this. I had a guitar in Open G beside me when I was listening. Capo'd it up a few frets and played along. Very cool. As always your videos are a pleasure to watch.

MarkM
Howdy Mark, Really glad you enjoyed and someday maybe we could jam together at a TG national jam session.

Buddy,

Great video. You sing it with beautiful feeling, your playing is really lovely and your presence and engagement really pulls the audience into the story and the emotion of the song.

I can imagine seeing this on a music video show, very nice use of black and white and shadow too.

Shel

Buddy, You have done some good ones before but I think this tops it . Your finger picking is excellent, guitar sounds great, but I think what comes out the most is how you control your voice now, like the soft play me at the end. Also like the black and white and the good interaction with the camera

Marc
Marc, Thanks so much for your comments it is really helpful to get this kind of feedback.

Great work here Bud.

Guitar, vocals, setting, black & white- the whole package.

Where and how are you mic'd?
Guitar plugged in?
