So now the country song WITH lyrics.
David I tried the hat thing. it didn't stick. Willem - I think I've covered your request.
So you may not know that Tamworth is the heart and soul of country music in Australia. And ... My two pups were born there... You'll need to listen to the song for the rest.
I could definitely keep fiddling with this (haha!); especially the levels for each track as it sounds really different on YouTube. I SHOULD definitely rerecord the vocals; actually I should raise the key too. (I'd better fess up to that before Ness points it out. but.... That would have meant redoing lots of it.)
This has been a fun project. thanks for the inspiration Neil.
Country song
Verse 1
A couple of years ago
A little music lover was born
With lots of curly hair and a great big smile
She loves a tune, could listen to music all day
Verse 2
What's the Aussie home of the country style?
Tamworth, it's Tamworth
When you're born in that country town
You can't resist a tune with a country sound
Chorus 1
If you want to see her dance around,
grab your fiddle and play it loud
want hear her howl and sing,
Grab your banjo and play that thing,
want to see that great big smile,
Grab your bass, go back and forth,
The country feel, it's a key of course
Verse 3
A couple of years ago
A little music lover was born
With a waggy tail and bright sweet eyes
Loves a country tune, could listen to that music all day
Chorus 2
If you want to see her dance around,
grab your fiddle and play it loud
want hear her howl and sing,
Grab your banjo and play that thing,
want to see that great big smile,
Grab your bass,
Repeat chorus 2
End
It's a country feel
She can't resist that country twang

Wow, that's amazing Michele.... absolutely brilliant.. grab your fiddle and play that thing !!!!
Thanks everyone. I'm blown away by everyone's comments. It's been wonderful reading them this morning.
i couldn't have done this without GarageBand. It's not hard to pull together some fairly easy to play tracks and make them sound better than their individual parts. For example, the bass track is either just roots or in the chorus I'm going between the root and the fifth. I think it adds a nice depth and it's really simple to play.
So if anyone's interested in writing songs with multiple tracks, I suggest you check out GarageBand if you haven't looked at it already. It's GREAT fun.
I'm glad you all found it funny. I definitely had a HEAP of fun making it. Who knew I had a country song in me. Yee-Ha!
Thanks everyone. You've all made my day.
So who's going next with a response to song-writing challenge number #2?
