Daryl, just WOW!
How cool to see you play all the different parts.
Looks like a lot of work to get the video's to fit together like you managed to do.

Really nice to the ears.
Thanks!

Corina- Thank you. But it actually turned out to be quite trivial to "splice" the videos together.

Both actually, but I was more focused on the bass. I haven't watched the videos you posted on Sandy's FOTW yet, but I intend to. The thumb muting for example is a nice technique. And your fingers were so fluid, you make it look dead easy.

Is it possible that you've got a shorter-scalar bass than mine? The fret distances are looking smaller to me this time. Maybe it's the angle.

My bass has a 31" scale (short scale). That's why I got it. And it's also quite light (though I always sit when I play). I'm guessing the angle of the video is making it look much shorter.

Great video Daryl, nicely done and interesting to watch! The playing is perfect and that solo absolutely spot on! I think I could learn it from watching your vid. Very good sound too quite an improvement on the early days, what's the difference?

Thanks Chris. Yes, I thought the video was interesting to watch too! And the lead was actually quite simple. If you put the video into reaper you can then slow it down to learn it. The sound quality is better because the bass and electric guitar are plugged directly into the m-audio interface. The acoustic guitar is still going through a microphone (and then into the m-audio). But I'm also getting better at the "adjustments" within Reaper to make the sound clearer and more balanced.

Ahhh got it! Mine is a 34". The stretches are bigger then, but I do like the feel too. :)

That was great Daryl. Improved sound and the video was very cool. I enjoyed watching the guitar and bass magically jump from the rack behind you to your hands and back! I used Reaper in the past on an old XP laptop. Finally got used to it and then XP was no longer supported. I've been on the steep part of the learning curve with Garageband (and the iOS). Nice to see someone else is using Reaper.
