Nice job on this song! Surprised me when I saw you playing it in the key of "D". (With capo on the 1st fret to Eb) I would have guessed you would have picked the "C" lesson for you voice. Sounded nice. I am sure it would sound good either way.

That is, you show considerable breath control in order to have such a confident vocal delivery.

Your rich voice can adapt to so many types of music, regardless of the tonality of the original singer.

I beg to differ about there being any similarity between Tom Waits' voice and yours. You would need to gargle some gravel for that
But Tom Waits is cool ... does his own tunes perfectly ! Sounds just like himself !
