I keep coming back to this video, sometimes with a bit of mist in the eyes.

Father Gilligan was a huge part of my growing up, a role model and mentor and even as much a friend as one's Pastor can be when one is a mouthy little brat (he once literally kicked my ass: foot right to the butt and down I went, and I richly deserved it). Dad's always been there for me, and not to take away anything from my parents, but Father G played a large role in my life (including my affinity for Celtic-flavored music)

He passed away before the advent of digital recordings and the Internet and I have no recordings of him singing this song, save the one in my head.

Thank you again, Lynn, for the sweet memories. :)
