Been away for a while. Lots of traveling for work.

A friend of mine requested this song for her birthday. Who am I to deny her request....

Well done! Details on the Taylor you were playing, please. Also, how was the guitar recorded?

Very nice Bart. I have to confess to know knowing that one.

What a nice birthday serenade.

Beautifully done Bart! Wonderful playing and singing on that beautiful DF song!

I am intrigued, what is that sound I am hearing, a Baritone? Sounds like it.
Love the chord change A to AM9, a lovely sound and one I reckon I am hearing in other DF songs.

Great to see you posting again, you do these sensitive songs so well!

Bart,

Nice gift for your friend. So well played and sung. If you're taking Birthday requests...How about Roller Derby Queen by Jim Croce.

Thanks for tuning in and the compliments gang!

The guitar is a Taylor K22, all Koa, top back and sides. It was actually an anniversary gift from my wife when we hit #30. (5 years ago)

No, it isn't a baritone guitar Chris. It sounds lower because I am tuned down 2 full frets. I would usually only tune down 1/2 step but I was experimenting with a few other songs and when I played this one a full step down, I kind of liked how it sounded. D.F. songs are hard to sing so I cheated a bit....

I played and sang through my "Play Acoustic" box by TC Helicon.

I recorded this song with my webcam on my windows 10 system. I ordered new recording software for Microsoft by NCH Suite. This is "Debut Video Capture". I also purchased VideoPad, Video Editing from the same company. Didn't have time to use that function with this video but maybe for next time?

Ted, since your birthday is in April, no problem with your request!

Thanks again for watching folks!
Bart

Thanks Bart! You'd have to be another half step down to Baritone (If I have that right) but its close!

Nice guitar! You are in a guitar shop right? Those can't ALL be your guitars... right?  :)

Chris,

The Baritone Guitar is tuned B to B so that is 5 semitones apart from standard tuning.
