Still trying to remember how to do things.....
This song is deceptively tough. Neil, of course, makes it seem so simple. It's not! I tried a recording of just one guitar. Nope, that didn't sound good. So I added a 2nd rhythm guitar. Nope that still didn't sound good. Added the lead guitar. Still not right. Added a 2nd lead guitar. Better but it was still missing something. Added a bass guitar. Definitely better but still didn't sound like when Neil plays it solo. Decided I'm not gonna sound any better than what I've got (hence just two video tracks). Then I asked one of my favorite singers to help me out. So here it is.

Starting to remember how to do it all Daryl? and still crazy after all these years.... nice playing as always!
Is that who I think it is? Wondering what it would sound like with the vocals completely clean, no effects except some reverb?

Bravo Daryl.. I love the way you put these things together.

Hey Daryl,
This is incredibly cool, and congratulations. I have a lot of trouble with multiple parts as I have spent my whole musical life trying to be the whole band. If I embark on a multi-track journey I just can't grasp simplifying everything for the sum of the parts goal. Not sure if you tried this approach but sometimes a reference track, maybe to a click (which would be rough for the end of this song), which is eventually deleted entirely, can sometimes work.
And on to a different subject... any plans for August that might include a trip to California? You would be a great addition to our IGC!
