Gentle Giant - Just The Same

Hi Gang,

I recently stumbled onto a guitar version of the intro to a Gentle Giant song that I may tackle in today's News and wanted to share something you might find interesting. One of the first pieces I play for people to get a rough idea of their sound is Just The Same. The challenge is to figure out the time signature(s). The last video is an amazing cover put together by Thomas Rydell for 16-18 year old students.
Enjoy!

Hey Abilio,

Great to hear from you! Good guess as some of this is definitely in 7/4. Which part(s), and where might it change?

Hello again,
These guys are fantastic. How could they play without losing tempo is a mistery to me  :)

I think it starts in 7/4, then during the guitar solo maybe their playing is in 5/4 and 6/4 when keyboard solo starts.

This is my guess but I'm not sure about none of them

Now, my head is telling me to be aware about neurons global warming... :silly:

Good work Abilio. Not sure about the 5/4 though, I will go listen again.

Here is another one, even harder I think, In A Glass House. The ending riff, starts around 4:15.
