Hi Everyone, Sorry I had to sit this one out!
After my house was hit by a tornado on April 2nd, it has been difficult to get my practice groove going, but I am back in the saddle now, so to speak. I also had to take time out to drop three singles on itunes, spottify, etc. They are under the name “Lewy & the Villa” and
‘Lewy and the Villa” if anyone is bored enough to check out some covers. Lastly I need one more jazz song for the album and have been working on an alto flute version of “Take Five”. Alto flute can be tough with fast riffs because the instrument response is slow. Imaging playing guitar with surgical gloves on.
Well on the guitar I am cleaning up “Mood for a Day”, Finishing up a merger of the two versions of “Light my Fire”, going between Bossa Nova Rhythm and Rock, and improving my finger picking technique while developing rasguenado. So I have NOT been a slouch, but I knew I would not make practice every day. My Wednesdays are nuts’ as I work 8am to 10pm reading brain spine and head& neck scans. How I would love to retire! I will join TTMC next round!
