I know a few of you have been on this tour ...They are down in San Diego , so whilst visiting I decided to see what all the fuss is about..
I will share a bunch of photos each day..and rather than leave any comments, you guys, can add your descriptions and commentary and debate...make this an interactive rollout..I shot a couple of videos too, so I will add those ...
So check back often and leave some comments and whatever else you want to say..love to hear you tech guys explain it all to us a little as well..
A couple of standouts for me were comments..
1- the idea that the 4 biggest guitar manufacturers here in the USA, collectively use about 150 logs a year to make guitars..and that the housing market eats up 1000's of acres..so the bleating about the use of timber in this case is just a joke..that and the management of the old growth timber that they do buy, especially the KOA from Hawaii..etc..
2- All the folk who rant on about wood being the main part of how a guitar sounds..well ..Mr Taylor himself decided to refute that by building a guitar out of the packing crates that the wood came on..Pine packing crates..and proved to all and sundry that his engineering, was a very large part of how great even Pine can sound..
Anyways...comment away I hope you enjoy them..
The videos are a bit shitty..but so be it..I will be going back with hopefully some better access and something other than my Iphone (hd cam went swimming sorry)
