I think we should lobby Neil for a Senior's Thread. And all these young whippersnappers would have to be respectful!! NOT!!

We could share Lawrence Welk tabs with each other! Oh, and we could talk about finding our guitars instead of playing them!!

I know this is an old thread but I'm a new member. Without giving too much away, I was 13 years old, residing in a place not of my choosing. No walls or bars, but maybe just a behavior issue away. I was feeling sorry for myself, out strolling the grounds on a hot summer day when I happened to notice a couple of guys, in pretty much the same straits as I was, sitting out in the middle of a field under a tree. Both had acoustic guitars and were actually enjoying themselves, sitting in the shade and playing together. I approached, stopped, and listened. From that moment, I decided I wanted to play. Within 6 months I bought a beat up old acoustic and learned a few chords and started composing and playing my own music. I've never looked back but after all these years, you'd think I'd be a better player.

Welcome to the club, CABRO and welcome to the TG forum. I think
you will like it, there is a LOT of good info floating around.
Feel free to contribute at anytime. We are all here to help
each other. You might want to give the TARGET program a try
for a month. I think you will be hooked in no time and there
are some great songs to learn in the program.

again Welcome

Thanks for the welcome Haoli. I'm already impressed with the site but afraid of the TARGET program for the very reason you cite. I don't know if my financial adviser (wife  ) would be pleased with another monthly expenditure. I may have to work on it though. BTW, my name is Chris.
