The actual quote I've seen two different ways and am not sure if they're both Mencken or one is a paraphrase. Here's the whole thing: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public." Substitute the word intelligence in that line and you have another quote attributed to Mr. Mencken.

Andy, I liked RHCP until I heard their atrocious cover of Subterranean Homesick Blues. It's laughable.

Kelly Clarkson (I don't know if that's how you spell her last name) and Heart. Kelly can sing good ya and Heart has good riffs but I can't stand listening to them. Sorry fans of them.
