Yep I find for some songs it works very well, others are a bit more difficult , and sometimes he varies his tunings and that throws you off a bit. I got some good tips from slowing his vids down. Their is a proper programme called slomo director which slows vids down and doesn't adversely effect the sound or tone, I had a trial version of it and it was great. Just need to buy it now.

Did you catch fretkiller on a 12 string? I have not seen that. I do know that
more than one guitar is used. But that is not unusual.

Cool idea since he is giving you the fretboard for most of his songs. Personally I don't know if lessons from this guy would be all that great. I suspect he is not that great at explaining or understanding what the person viewing the material does not understand. Tommy Emmanuel is the classic example. While I have not bought any of his instructional DVD's. I have seen some of his instructional vids on youtube and elsewhere. And unless you are about half way there by ear...he isn't going to help. Too quick...too much skipped over as obvious. There is a vid on youtube where he takes what others might consider as a fairly advanced guitar player with the nic name 'hot licks' and proceeds to teach him his version of classical gas. He walks all over him. But then I think that was the point of the vid to be more a joke than a real lesson.
