In case you have missed Liona Boyd, she is a treat to watch and listen to. That woman has the longest fingers I think I have ever seen.

You know, I see how classical guitarists hold their guitars more vertical, and wonder if they know something the rest of us don't..... I play mine more horizontal as I see most of us do. What is the difference other than feel?????

Maybe a stupid question, but I had to ask.....

Makes it way easier to get good hand position....

Most classical guitar players swear that this position gives them the easiest fretting. With guitar slanted back toward the chest slightly also gives an easy view of the left hand. And finally, many classical guitar players also say that this position is also less likely to cause 'carpal tunnel syndrome' or fatigue in both the left and right hands and forearms.

Liona's position seems a little exaggerated, but then she has been playing that way for 47 years. She is pretty well preserved for age 60, huh? :)

I've been thinking about adjusting my strap to give me more of a classical position and see how I like it.
