Sorry mate couldn't resist, I actually didn't really mean to post it, I went to check out how to create a Poll to let you know and force of habit I guess pushed submit.
Anyway I voted as both, slightly leaning more to the Stones though.
My thread/Poll on same topicYou know I haven't figured out how to yet!

Beatles! They started it all....didnt they?, As far as I was concerned I saw them first on Ed Sullivan....They were "nicer", their melodies were catchier, and that was that !

I voted Beatles. Because I'm right!
I justify this by the fact that over the years I've been lucky to have witnessed a few encyclopedic Beatles-playing guitarists drop by a party or campfire somewhere, but never once a has a walking Stones jukebox wandered into any of those. I guess this is because although most of us like to listen to the Stones, we would tire of repeating the posturing tough-guy lyrics when attempting to learn to play a lot of their repertoire. So more players play more Beatles songs because they are more better!
