As a lifelong fan of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band, I was saddened by this news:

Very sad... a huge man by all accounts, will be sadly missed.

I, like you Suzi, have been listening to this music for longer than I care to remember. Truly a sad day.

Huge loss. It was easy to be captivated by his sax rising above the E Street band but it was almost as much fun to hear the friendly banter between Bruce and Clarence between tunes. He will be greatly missed particularly here in NJ where the band got their start.

I agree with everyone's sentiments here. Clarence Clemons's sax is a signature sound of the E Street band. I can't imagine them without him. And like Tom said, his rapport with Bruce Springsteen while performing live was always so fun to watch. It's a great loss.
