Hey there,

How's everyone's summer? I'm a bit shell-shocked, as I'm used to work getting slooooow in the summer for me, and my guitar time increasing. That's not the case this summer for some reason- firing on all cylinders! I'm not complaining though.

Anyways- just wanted to say hi and mention (brag) that I just got 11th row seats to Elton John in September! He's doing a tour of small venues where it's just him and his piano.. No band. Playing all of his old hits. The GM Centre holds about 5000 people! Will be AMAZING! H and I are taking our daughter Claire as well (12). It will be her first real concert- and a memorable one!

Anyways- I'm trying to keep up with TG.. going to watch some uploads now
Take care

BTW- maybe time for some more elton john songs in Target.. only one so far I think.
Waddaya think Mr. Hogan?

Al, you are a lucky duck. That guy just keeps getting better, and there certainly isn't a shortage of songs for him to play.

I saw him in KC about 13 years ago. He was a little late getting to the arena, but man did he make up for it. Just He and his piano, but he can ROCK.

Have a ball Al. Hope your daughter appreciates what it is/ who it is she is seeing.

Al

I saw Elton John play Glasgow Apollo on his Single Man Tour in 1979 (Really?? [gulp].........I had to look up the date, my brain doesn't work that way) and he was fantastic. I'm sure you'll have a great night.

Yes, we're pumped!

Elton John just played an outdoor festival in Quebec city on the Plains of Abraham to something like 150,000 people!
And we're seeing him in a venue that holds 5,000. Pretty cool indeed.

Al, I saw Elton in a big venue with Billy Joel two years ago ... I can only suppose that he will blow the roof off in that place.

It's not too late to change your mind ... I could relieve you of your tickets and you might save on the babysitter. :)

By the way, I'm going to see McCartney this Tuesday :P (But in a BIG venue, also).

I'm very glad for you about this ...

Pierre

Good for you Al, I am sure it will be a great show, he has so much experience and a great repertoire. How come only a small audience?

Marc
