That has to be the best song about another song, I ever heard.

I first heard this tune as a hidden track on Tom Waits album "Used Songs" (1973-!980).

Well I did enjoy it very much. Waltzing Matilda means a great deal to most Australians, and it is widely viewed as our unofficial National Anthem. (Particularly noting the other widely held view that our official one sucks!)

This video was beautiful to listen to. Thanks for posting it.

I do know it yes. Maybe one day. Michelle wanted to put up a busking category for Australian music. If she does, I'll have a go at Waltzing Matilda. (Might not be very good...but I'll give it a go).
