Needless to say, my first attempt was not as successful. I am determined to learn how to do this.

Never seen you play. but I'm guessing your the kind of man that once you set your mind to something,it gets done.
Question, his right hand. Seem he is picking the fret to tap. Dose were you tap give a different tone??? I just laid my guitar on my lap and tied to tap at different frets,all came out dead to me??
