Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain.
Dear Neil I saw The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain this week in Manchester,UK. You are almost certainly aware of them.If not, might I suggest you look them up on You Tube? They were both funny and fantastic. They also told the story of the British prisoner of war, captured by the Japanese army, and forced to work on the Burmese Railway in World war Two.He made a make shift ukulele out of a tin box and bits of wire to entertain his friends. That ukulele is now in The British War Museum(North).Amazingly that soldier, now aged 96, was in the audience. He was introduced and stood up to receive a huge ovation. He was later surrounded by admirers and well wishers.Best wishes ,Brom
