Thanks for posting this. I had no idea the Library of Congress did these types of events.
I read the book and it was fascinating. Even so, I could listen to the stories again and again.

Thx for posting this... - I;m just running through the beginning discussion, very interesting - Graham Nash did a number of interviews around the time his book was launched.

I can vouch for some of his memories of the north of England in the 50s and early 60s....but I never heard any of the Beatles suggest that Liverpool and Manchester were actually the same place haha ! In fact, as a tip for visiitors, i doubt if you'd survive long in either city if you tried to suggest it today... :)

This is a great interview although I've only seen about half so far. I loved the reminiscence about post war England and to realize how much good music came out of that era. I know I've always heard of skiffle music and skiffle bands being associated with the time, but never knew what it sounded like. So I did a little search on YouTube and this is what I came up with. Fun and amazing.



Edit--What's "Mosfilm" and what does it not like about TG? I thought the clip was interesting because it was the only old one I could find on skiffle.
