Hey Dean,

She is fabulous, and well known world wide in the classical circles. Here is another interesting one.

The interpretation of "Yesterday" is breath-taking, but I wouldn't trade it for your take. It's the gift that keeps on giving :) I will always return to your recitation as the definitive version. It is such a joy to play.

Thanks for the comment Dean. I find many classical arrangements of tunes like Yesterday very bland, even academic, and not up to repeated listens. I usually try to keep things simpler to not confuse the listener with too much stuff going on. Not that I always stick to that formula but complex variations can get tedious.

I got to see Ana live a few years ago. She was performing in a very small town library in a suburb outside of Tampa. I was aware of her and had to double check to be sure it was really Ana Vidovic playing at the New Port Richie public library. It was a $20 donation to get in. She played in a small conference room in the library, maybe 50 people in the room, no amplification, I sat in the 3rd row and was in awe. The crowd was silent while she played. Her technique was amazing. Her projection and performance was captivating. The whole experience was surreal. Seeing this beautiful and wonderful classical guitarist playing in the most unlikely spot was one of the best and strangest concerts I've attended.
