The lyrics:

Romeo

I ain't too old to be your.....Romeo
So won't you be my Juliet
Some say those days have passed us...long ago
but I just say we ain't dead yet

Never been no, Prince Charming, but I'll do my best
kill the witch or slay your dragons, just put me to the test
from the ashes, here's your slipper, wake you with a kiss
so ready for that, ever after, and everything we've missed

When the fairy tale has lost it's charm
and you give up what you believe
let me take you back there, arm in arm
and once we're there we'll never leave

Never been no, Prince Charming, but I'll do my best
kill the witch or slay your dragons, I'm ready for the test
from the ashes, here's your slipper, wake you with a kiss
so ready for that, ever after, and everything we've missed

and if that darkness makes you cry today
just call my name, I'll dry your eyes
don't let them take those childhood dreams away
If you believe then so do I

Never been no, Prince Charming, but I'll do my best
kill the witch or slay your dragons, just put me to the test
from the ashes, here's your slipper, wake you with a kiss
so ready for that, ever after, and everything we've missed

I ain't too old to be your.....Romeo
So won't you be my Juliet

Nick, fantastic! Congratulations! Who'd have thought that, at heart, behind that gruff beard, you are a big softy! ;-). Absolutely solid piece of intelligent song writing and really well performed on stage. Wow! That is another level. Loved the E-guitar whining away there. Excellent lyrics (great to see you're not too proud to mix up your own lyrics, live! - slay the witch / kill the dragon :-)) I do it all the time on my favourite songs.

Nick, I'm really impressed and you are an inspiration. Thanks for posting this!

Nick,

That was awesome. Really enjoyed that. The 3 piece really made the music nice and complex. For me though, I loved the lyrics. THAT was something special!!!! Great job!! Thanks for sharing this.

Alright, now I'm just jealous.

That was great, Nick. What a great reason to play - to say what the mere spoken word cannot. So how did Juliette take this?

There will be more, right? Forget the pizza points - have some Caviar and fine wine.
