I laughed Bill.

I have no idea what a cold cock is though (it's on the title of the video if anyone wonders where I got that term). Does it only occur in cold weather?

Is that an American term for hitting yourself in the head? Cold cocking??

Tony:

Yeah, it is a nutty American saying for getting knocked silly. You can do it to yourself as evident in the video, or someone else can do it. Have no idea of its origins, but I am assuming that a google would give me the answer......

You're hilarious, Tony! Cold cocked means getting knocked unconscious. It has nothing to do with cold weather.

I think it is American old slang for a knockout, Tony. Not my choice of words, I would have used "self-inflicted El Kabong". Another American slang term.

Also cold cocked implies that you weren't looking or unaware. If you got punched in the face without looking, you got "cold cocked"...apparently this can happen by guitar too!

Cold Cocked is getting 'knocked cold'. Or 'knocked out cold'.
And he most assuredly deserved it.

This is why Neil tells us not to use the 'baseball grip' on the neck. See what can happen?

Thanks all for the education. We are indeed 2 peoples separated by a common language.
