Well, since Chet's not around anymore, I decided to certify myself.

I'm now a;

"Certified Campfire Strummer" CCS :laugh:

Level 1 or 2 songs only please.

I don't think it's legal to certify one's self. Even if it's a Level 1 or 2 CCS. Isn't there a CCS Board or something you have to go in front of? Doesn't one need to be nominated or something? Just wondering.

Well.... since I made it up, I think it will be Ok. LOL Especially since there's no requirements other than owning a guitar. LOL

The post was made in jest. I figured that Campfire Strummer would be pretty basic and so I was not expecting any complaints from the Grammy people. LOL

Ok lets start a ccs club. Andy you need to post a list of pre-qualifications to try out. You are the founding member so its up to you to make the rules. I think everyone will help with ideas ?

1- Must wear hawiian shirts
2- Cheesy mustache required
3- Can not play any Tom Petty
4- Must own your own instrument
5- Post at least 3 videos approved by the rest of the club by a poll


Any other ideas out there ?

Damn. I don't have any hawian shirts nor a mustache.

And since I don't often strum, I'm going to be a CCP (Certified Campfire Picker)!

Hmmm...

1. Should have something Hawaiian. An Aloha shirt is preferred, but a pair of slippahs (flip flops, to the rest of you) will do.

2. Fully grown cheesy moustache not required, but must have at least a 2 day growth. (Weekend warriors rejoice!)

3. Must own your own instrument.

4. Must shoot at least one video wearing shorts and your hawaiian gear.

5. Submit a video entry of your favorite song to play for voting by the Charter Members.

Hmmm... Since I'm the only charter member so far, I'll have to make any Target member who has posted a video an Honorary Charter Member to meet the need.

At the start of your video, have a text of which cert you are going for, CCS or CCP or CCL.

The video needs to show you doing what it is your atempting certification for.

Certifications available;

Certified Campfire Strummer CCS
Certified Campfire Picker CCP
Certified Campfire Lighter CCL (This one has the additional requirement of owning your own BBQ. A camp stove is acceptable for apartment dwellers.)

Good point Tammy, but I didn't say the growth had to be on your face. How often do women shave their legs anyway? LOL

But, lets modify this one anyway.

2. For Men; a 2 day growth of facial hair. For women, at least 2 pieces of frilly lace hanging from the headstock. At least 2 of the colors must clash with each other.
