This is going to be a test post, but the image itself will stand until I have time to come back and edit to add the story. For now I mainly want to test the upload function.

I've tried posting it both by direct upload and via posting it first to flickr.
I can seem to get either to work. Don't know why I could do it last week and cannot manage it this week.
Argh, so frustrating!

Here's your photo Lynn. PM me and I'll tell you how I did it.

OK, no big mystery. I went to the flickr web page you posted, selected download in the lower right corner (downward facing arrow over an underscore). Picked the picture size I wanted (medium) and saved it to my desktop. Then I went into the thread and selected the image file (which is a jpeg) from my desktop, hit [img] and then submit and poof there it was.

Thanks so much, Bill, for posting my photo for me.

So I'll be thinking about that photo and working on some lyrics for it.

That's a beautiful photo Lynn. There's lots of meaning just in your Dad's body language.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Ok, here's mine. The photo was taken at a favorite relative's place. We went there about once every summer and it was one of the best places ever, in my memory. I'm about a year old and that's my dad holding me - I never saw this photo until just a few years ago. I don't have many memories of my dad holding me, so this is a very special photo for me.

So now I'm thinking about the song it might inspire.

To everyone else who might be thinking about getting involved in this challenge, remember that you can contribute something that meets a single stage at a time. So for example for right now you might just post a photo that you really like (preferably with you in it).

If you can't think of one in your own photo library, you could just post an interest or amusing photo that might inspire others to start thinking about the story behind it, that might inspire someone to write some lyrics.

This thread can be as deep or as silly as we collectively make it.
