Having recovered, I managed to play a song today. It's called Never Been To Spain written by Hoyt Axton, God bless his heart. :)

Great job Mike!

Firstly for getting back to playing/singing and even posting it too.

Secondly, I réally like the sound of your vocals, they're great! And i'm pleased to see how you're trying to vary the strumming there.

I'll be back with some more tips/tricks on that.

Many thanks Mike, sure enjoyed it! (Thanks for bringing the earworm back. :S  )

Hello again Mike.

What a great way for me to start my Saturday morning! (Before the weekend gets too busy with weddings and company) Getting to watch and hear you play this song again was a real treat.... Keep up the good work and keep that smooth "radio" voice limbered up. I enjoy listening to you sing.

Thanks for posting...
Bart

Keep 'em coming! BTW what do you use for a microphone as the sound is clear crisp and clean for both the guitar and your vocals?

It's a radio microphone manufactured by TechPro Digital Systems. It consists of a microphone that clips onto your shirt and you wear the transmitter on your belt. Then the receiver is placed on top of the camera and plugs into a microphone jack on the camera. It costs about $150 and you can find it at any good camera store. I brought my camera with me to make sure it's compatible. It's actually quite easy to set up but it took me hours to claw and chew my way through the impossible to open packaging. Image

Very nice performance. I picked up my guitar and not only fingerpicked along with you but also did a little pentatonic lead during the interlude. Actually, that's a bit of hyperbole, but I enjoyed taking a crack at it anyway! I would also enjoy seeing a review by Neil perhaps suggesting some ways to vary the strumming pattern. I tried to do a bass strum type of thing with this and couldn't really make it work very well, but I'm sure Neil would come up with something useful and interesting.
