Never regretted it! Before TG I had signed up at 'workshoplive', I definitely learned a few things, but it was the most boring site ever.....was I excited to bump into Neil!! :cheer:

Kenny, thanks for starting this thread. It is neat to read these...so many of 'em for the first time.

I first waltzed into the candy store "Aproximately"
6-20-2010. I was actually here wandering and floundering about before that (not sure how long)...remembering how nice the welcoming party was to me.

There is a video somewhere of me playing Krista's beater guitar on a intro video sometime before that.

So I guess I actually joined TG roughly the same time Vanesssa did. I remember reading her intro thread and how she more or less took the place place by storm...from day one. Lol. Looks like I joined the forum two months before her. But it sounds like she was here behind the scenes before me by a few months. Don't know exactly. I've wondered about that for a while actually,

I signed on 2009-10-12 not long after my brother passed away. I was looking for some connection to him, and since he was a guitarist, I decided to try my hand at it. I've become very close friends with a few TGers and have even met a few of them in person.

I joined back in July of 09. I rarely post or participate in any discussions. I just watch the new lessons and try to learn them. I cannot imagine not being a member. It is a huge part of my life. Thanks for posting.

I may have not been here “from the beginning” (ironically the name of the song I first uploaded for review) but I have been here for over two and a half years and plan to be here as long as there’s an internet and I continue to walk the earth.

I agree this have been a very interesting thread. I especially liked reading Ness’s first post (thanks for that) as well as everyone else’s comments about their beginnings in the community. I wish I could have been a founding member. I imagine it’s been fun watching TG evolve. But alas I didn’t stumble onto this treasure until things were a little more under way. With that said, and a tip of the hat to those from the beginning who remain and those who have moved on, here’s my pertinent data:
