I'm sure many of us had really "sucky" cars for our first. Mine was a 1974 AMC Hornet (cost $650 in 1982) which had the door latch on the driver side rusted out. I had to use a bent coat hanger to keep my door closed!

You don't want to mention "fist" cars with all the martial arts guys on this forum!

My first car was a '62 Mercury Monterrey Custom. It had the reverse sloping rear window that you could roll down from the drivers seat. Pretty cool! Plus on a good night it would seat about 14 people! Great party car! I painted it deep, metallic purple and a couple well into their '70's bought it. I couldn't believe it!

Yeah I fixed the title of the thread now--I added the "r" to "first".

My first car was a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner 383 4 speed. Bought it in 1975 when I was in high school.

Yep, I still have it. I use it for drag racing now.

I know it's been with me for a long time. I just always loved that car and never even considered selling it, never. I have had a long list of muscle cars that have come and gone but never my runner.

My first car was a Triumph Herald 1200cc. Cost 300pounds Great little car and it could go! I learnt a lot about car maintenance with that. I wish I still had it as the chassis is perfect for building a kit of an MG

My first car was a Duster in 1977. It was on black primer (no paint), the driver door had been hit and the window , when close was still sligthly open. That was its only feature. I did not enjoy rain during that period. I acquiered it by trading my Honda 175CC + $50.

72 Chevy Nova with a 427 under the hood. (got the engine from a smashed Vette. Before that it had the Line 6) Cop trans, and posi rear end. If you breathed hard on the pedal it would toss you in the back seat. A deep med blue with metal flake. Such a beaut! I wish I still had her.
