Many Americans, like me, feel very strongly about our right to "Keep and Bear Arms" granted to us over 200 years ago by our Founding Fathers and the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Further infringments on this right will not be well received by many of us.
Without our right to keep and bear arms, we'd still be speaking the King's english!
With our current administration and all the anti-gun nuts in the cabinet it won't be long before we're right there with you.YOu guys and your guns wouldn't like NZ the laws here are a bit stricter than the US.

They alwyas blame the gun and never the criminal wielding it!! All one needs to do is look at the Aussie experience and their very strict gun laws. They took away guns from law abiding citizens and their crime rate skyrocketed!! Really great planning. Everyone could see that coming.I believe very similar, but with a couple of recent events when a cop was gunned down dead and another who was hit in the head and saved by kevlar helmet, they are likely to get tougher

NZ police are not routinely armed but we do have specialist squads for when the need arises plus all offiers receive training to a certain competency level and can be armked if the situation decrees it. NZ has been enjoying drops in total crime for the past few years, same as most Western cultures however nearly all places advertising drop in total crime have experienced an increase in violent crime

It's hard to find a Colt AR-15 or M4 around here. The knockoffs are even scarce. Forget about ammo.Guns ain't cheap anymore, if they ever were.
A good friend of mine sells AR-15s at some of the
larger gun shows. The AR-15s you could buy last
summer for $750 are now selling for $1200 and
more.
