I might see a use for this with someone with a handicaped hand. But then I would thing a common slide and open tuning would get you just as far. So it plays 19 chords...not sure how except to slide the shape up and down on a 19 fret instrument. But wait my 19th fret only has the bottom nad top two strings with fret materal. The rest is cut out by the sound hole. Not much use as a full fret.
