Well congrads on getting it done. Not exactly sure what you had done or why...intersted to know though. But I can say this. I would not push getting back into guitar or anything less heavy finger usage. You want the surgery to be a one hop event.

Pretty simple procedure. Here's a good explanation if you are interested:

I wish you a speedy recovery Rick. Was the surgery on your left or right hand?

Thank you Bill! It was left hand, middle finger. Besides playing the guitar it's amazing how many things you use your left hand for. I'm discovering that quickly ! lol!

I hope you are able to hold a cold beer in your left hand. (for medicinal purposes only:) the cold will help with any swelling) Meanwhile, it's a good time to practice your fingerpicking.
With the songs Neil has been adding lately, this is going to be slow torture for you.

One of these days I will get up the nerve to have the same operation. It's the index finger on the left hand for me.

I guess I've been out of the loop this week. Didn't even know you were going in for surgery. I wish you a complete and speedy recovery.

Bear,

Glad the prognosis is good and best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

Sorry about the anguish you're going to suffer because you can't play, though.
