Just got back from my hand surgery and it was a success!! Thanks to all of you who have offered kind words of encouragement. A special thank you to Rev. Kate who recently had this same surgery (trigger finger) and encouraged me to quit procrastinating and just get it done. She was right, of course!!
So I won't be playing for a few weeks but the Doc, said I could start again after my stitches come out in two weeks if the pain was okay. I can't wait!!
Cheers to all my TG friends and thanks again!!!! :cheer:

Good to hear it went well.
Made me think of that old joke/ Dr. punchline:
"Dammit nurse.. I said prick his boil!!"
Cheers to a speedy recovery!

Well congrads on getting it done. Not exactly sure what you had done or why...intersted to know though. But I can say this. I would not push getting back into guitar or anything less heavy finger usage. You want the surgery to be a one hop event.

Glad to hear everything went fine, Bear. I can understand the reluctance, the fear of coming of there with a stiff hand when you love guitar is certainly present. Most men (including me) are always pushing back doctors appointments by fear of a bad news. We all say all kind of excuses not to go but...
If a massage woulf fix all the health problems, there would probably be a big line up however. I wonder who should we talk to about this

I have asked my Boss to help you heal up faster Rick. He assures me that as long as you don't get crazy, you should have no trouble.

I assume Andy is talking about a boss OTHER than Jim Henson...
