No, my masters was in Russian language and literature, so I was there to improve my russian and also taught English. I moved to Paris with my husband for his job, then we came back here so he could finish his graduate degree.

Off topic- sorry guys!

Lots and lots of places. My dad was in the army and then I was in Navy after high school.

Army moves:

Born in Columbus, Georgia ( Dad was stationed at Ft. Benning)
El Paso, Texas (transferred to Ft. Bliss)
Quinwood, West Virginia (lived with my grandpa - Dad went to Germany ahead of family)
Stuttgart, Germany
Munich, Germany (don't remember the base names in Germany)
El Paso, TX (back there when Dad went to Vietnam)
Columbia, South Carolina (Ft. Jackson)
El Paso, TX (Dad's 2nd tour of Vietnam)
Oakland, CA (Oakland Army Base)
Bandy, Virginia (Dad retired from Army)
El Paso, TX (Didn't take to Virginia for retirement)

Navy Career

San Diego, CA (Boot Camp and 1st Navy school0
Vallejo, CA (second and third Navy Schools)
Alameda, CA (Tour of Duty aboard the USS Enterprise)
Bremerton, WA (USS Enterprise in dry dock, left service)

Back to El Paso after Navy

Chatsworth, CA (career move)
Simi Valley, CA (bought my first house)
Longmont, CO (career move due to company buyout)

Been in Colorado now for 15 years.

My wife and I are still talking about one more move when we retire...probably near Yosemite in California.

Madison is often called "The Austin of the Midwest." Both cool cities!

Welcome! It is absolutely amazing that we can connect from so far away. One of the best things about the web!
