Today my youtube account got suspended.

I have no idea why. I had only four videos uploaded on it.
My versions of Hotel california and yesterday.
I uploaded warm and windy yesterday and another video of a song called skimatics by Russ Shipton.

I have tried to contact youtube to find out why

Any one else ever had experince of this

If you look in the secton where to post the videos, it seems that everybody is gone. It is probably TG who needs to take care of that.

Mark, You did Windy and warm? Looking forward to see that

There seem to be two seperate issues here. The entire section for target videos on the forum seems to have gone. I'll contact support and let them know.
The tgstudents youtube account is still there so thats not a problem.

The youtube account that has been suspended is my personal one.
I got an email from youtube support saying it was because of violating community guidlines. I assume this is to do with copyright issues but they don't want to tell me any more details.

I only had 4 videos of me playing the guitar. There are thousands of similar videos on youtube so I have no idea what is wrong.

Probably copyright stuff. If you've ever posted Eric Clapton stuff, they'd suspend you. He's fanatical about his stuff. Everything he has on Chordie.com gets removed all the time.

Can you please qualify your statement: The entire section for target videos on the forum seems to have gone.

Not sure what you mean by that. I don't see any entire sections missing.

I know Youtube will suspend for copyright issues. There have been other guitar teaching sites that have had there accounts suspended because they were teaching songs. About two years ago this whole legal copyright issue came about. Some have been threatened that legal action would be brought against them because of using copyright material. I hope this whole issue gets resolved soon.

I feel the same. Are all the songs on TG OK to put on YouTube so they can be posted on TG. I wanted to do a video as others have but not so sure that it is OK to do so from what I've read in this thread. I too hope it gets resolved so we can know whether to post TG songs or not. Gary

I just checked the TG/Youtube channel and all the uploads seem to be there.
