Yann Perreau is a young francophone singer/songwriter that is breaking out big in Quebec.

The song in this video is "Le bruit des bottes", translatable to "The Sound (or noise) of Boots". It's theme is the military indoctrination of the masses.

It includes a guest appearance by an intelligent rapper-type group, "Loco Locas".

An enthralling performance, must be heard at loudest possible volume :)

Yep, Wilson, that sounds like he's playing a nice Canadian tea party! I tried out that Yamaha at the weekend, not bad.

Al... where do you find all these groups.... never heard of them all before!

Aside from Joni Mitchell, Ian & Sylvia were my favorite Canadian act. Back in the early '60s there wasn't a folk guitarist alive who wasn't playing "Four Strong Winds."
