Gerry Rafferty

"Baker Street"

"Right Down the Line"

"Get It Right Next Time"

Apart from one of the best solos and riffs of all time on a pop record (Baker Street) Gerry has done some great stuff. I play Waiting for that Day, Whatever's Written in Your Heart, Baker Street and Island all the time.

Chris:

Nice addition to the Gerry Rafferty list! Love that song as well. I have been a big fan of Gerry's for a long time. Would love to learn some of his stuff. Right Down the Line is a great song for me, as it reminds me of my wife.

Reiver:

I am not that familiar with many more Scottish artists. Hopefully I will learn about more here....

Thanks for starting this one.

:)

Yeah Lulu! Great stuff! And Amy McDonald.... I'm not sure if the rest of the world has heard her but she was big in Europe last summer. I played This is the Life live at the Gala Dinner of the World Junior Squash Championships in Zürich last summer. Went well!

You should post your version. Looks harder to sing than play!

You got that right! Fitting in the lyrics is really difficult.... maybe I'll have a go at it on video in a quite moment. The playing is simple.... but as I'm a Camp fire pro all my songs are played simply!
