Great choice! The thing about Gilmour is he doesn't waste a single note. Every note has a meaning and a purpose. That economy of playing gives a starkness and power to his playing that makes him my all-time favorite guitar player. :cheer:

Since you already took Gilmour here's another guy that I love listening to!! He has so many hits it's hard to know which one to choose! The Shadows just don't get enough credit!!

This one is great too!

How about this rare rehearsal clip of Eric Clapton playing 'My Fathers Eyes', I mean this is all about the father he never met or knew..

Hard to pick the most. I agree that Gilmour and Knopfler are masters.
I would had Carlos Santana, Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson. "Cliffs of Dover" moves me

Just learned about Willy about 2 months ago when I bought a Guild Willy Porter Signature Series, which he is playing in this, he uses so many of the guitar techuiques like muting the strings, agressive strumming, sweet arperrio, lots of percussion, alternate tuning, - for one person and a guitar he lights it up! Recording's not so great it's from 2007 NAMM where the taping was somewhat informal.
