Caught him practicing in our local center two weeks ago..... 138 of our squash kids had a great time having him over for 2 days....

Yeah, he played like a big girl's blouse! well, almost. for his standards. Too many errors, not quite tuned up enough for a big game. You can't imagine the distractions for a player in his position. He can't get from his car to a building door without posing and signing for everyone in sight, he tends not to say no. New endorsement signed for a couple million (Swiss chocolate, of course!). So playing at home (the media call it the Federer Festival)is not the best place to get your concentration going. And maybe the final point I'd make is that he's now almost "too" happy to win all the finals he plays. He's had such a successful year (life), the hunger has to go off the boil (can you say that?) a little. And of course, his coach is a Welsh Kiwi comedian... that really helps!Too bad he didn't "play" that well against Djokovic this weekend in the good old CH !!!
