Two Thousand and Ten? 2000.10? Oops MJ.......

I really like Bill's MMX. I think all the non-engineers will be stumbling over what to call it until twenty-eleven or two-thousand-and-eleven or oh-eleven or whatever.

MMX it is for me.

Well I hope we all live life to the MAX in MMX!

Bill, Bear, Andy, you guys crack mu up! Chas, you look like the straight guy! Erni in Morcombe and Wise ;-). I'll remain the heckler (MJ and Wrench, care to join me in my heckler's box?) ;-)

By the way it's really Zweitausandundzehn! That translates to "two thousand and toe"! Bear will get it.

1865.... was said as.. eighteen sixty five...
1999.....was said as.. nineteen ninety nine...

2000.... was said as.. two thousand...
2001.... was said as.. two thousand and one--not twenty one, or even twenty oh one

and so 2010 should be said....however which way you want! :)

I've seen 2KX being used -- a mongrelization of SI engineering units and Roman numerals. Beat that!

doesnt it depend which calendar we use?

twenty ten sounds like ten past eight to me! Then again, I know I'm strange
Can't go wrong with two thousand and ten.

or alternatively, how about we give the years a name? 2010 shall now be known as Dave, would sort all the problems out wouldnt it?

Back to the Michael Palin diaries for me :P

So we all convert to the Mayan calendar, and then we only have to deal with this issue for two more years :(

This is why I like it here: Bill is a Roman. Joe is close-- twenty ten sounds good. But after two thousand years it seems right to drop a couple of decimal points and just call it two ten. But I really don't give a hoot as long as you spel it rite. Fred
