No more than we yanks are mate! :) Perhaps you could fill us in a little: What is a blackie? Why is clapton dressed like a baker with carpet wrapped around his shins? And just who is he going to wack with that paddle?

But Chas, like you I have no idea what Dennis's post means. Must be Northwest American humor.

You know that saying "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing"? I think that is at the forefront of Dennis' mind right about now. It seems Northwest American humour (humor) is very close to ours.

I take you are pulling my leg, or are you. Just in case not, he is dressed in traditional garb for Cricket 'My dear old chap!' Blackie was his most famous guitar which he auctioned off for his Charity 'Crossroads Centre in Antigua', got near a million for it too! Apparently from the article this was with he is going to 'whack' Paul Simon lol!

Simon...

Sometimes I feign ignorance. Most of the time I don't have to.

Yes, cricket, of course; one of your more famous and benign legacies.

Charming game I am told.

If you've ever watched a 5 day Test match its not what i'd call charming its like watching paint dry lol. New versions of the game are being played which are completed very quickly and are actually entertaining and are completed in about three and a half hours, called Twenty20. Purists of the game don't care much for it though.

Wating for purists to chime in now lol.
