Still fairly new here Matt.

This one only has 12 clear frets. Looks like a really good collector, don't know that it would be a great player, somewhat limited.

The Koa is not junk wood. It's top choice Koa all around. That alone is at least 2500 in wood. Craftsmanship, nice details and lots of inlay. Too much for my personal taste on that, but very costly. Nice electronics and the Taylor name... Yeah, I guess it's worth it, but it's way out of my budget.

Koa's are very nice, IMO

I'm sure that one plays fantastic...My first zero in focus point was the range an instrument has, that's just me.

I'm really just guessing as to what your after, collection or player. As an all-around utility guitar, that one has limits.

Matt my thoughts are you should buy it and ship it back to your spiritual home in Adelaide so you have something to play when/if you ever visit. No need to hurry back, I'll take care of it for you.

I am wondering why these guitars were placed on eBay. With true collectable guitars, the best place to sell them is at the large guitar shows around the country. While these are very nice guitars, they may not increase in value, or at least not increase in value enough to justify your investment. Just a thought.

It had better be waterproof, because if I owned it I would be drooling whenever I laid hands on it...(to play--get your minds out of the gutter! B) )
