If this is to replace the Please Intro thread, then I think questions need to be optional:

Where are you from? Country/City/Town (in full no abbreviations)

What age bracket are you in?

What are your music tastes?

On a scale of 1 - 10 , 10 being Advanced, how do you rate your current ability with guitar?

Where do you rate your theory knowledge, 1 - 10 again.

Do you want to learn:

a. Songs
b. Theory
c. Tablature
d. Combination

What kind of guitar do you own:

a. Steel string acoustic
b. Nylon String acoustic
c. Electric solid body
d. Electric Semi acoustic
e. Bass
f. 12 String acoustic
g. 12 string electric

Do you play mostly plugged/unplugged?

What brands and models of guitars do you have?

What are your goals:

a. Short term
b. Long term

What do you expect to gain from this site?

Theres a few to be going on with

Matt- I think at a minimum:

- Location
- Age
- Length of time playng and ability level
- Musical style preferences
- Where they hope to go with their musical education ie. play around the campfire or become a touring pro
- Biggest challenge playing the guitar
- What model Taylor guitar they play. LOL! :silly:

That should do it! :cheer:

I'd also suggest a free form field where folks could relate things that we might never think to ask. We all have a love of guitars and guitar music in common but it's interesting to learn about the other passions that TG members have (e.g. pilot, gourmet chef, Appalachian Trail through hiker, retired hit man  ...).
