Hi Gang,

Matt is usually in charge of the 'guessing what's in the pipeline' threads but I realized that even he may not know what's on tap for tomorrow.

Think about a really popular (and great, but simple) songwriter who has barely been represented until now. Also, one of his/her best songs refers to holiday weekends, like we have here in the US right now.

Thoughts???

Neil

Hmmm....

Alice's Restaurant- Arlo
Cinco De Mayo in Memphis- Jimmy Buffett
Another Aulde Lang Syne- Dan Folgerberg

If it's not one of those I vote for Milli Vanilli. I play a pretty mean air guitar.

I am hoping it is Alice's Restaurant!

(Although Kenny G & Bob the Builder are pretty gosh dang talented!)

*Has Tom Petty made reference to any three-day holiday weekends?
(You got me thinking Matt.)

I've got it: "Feliz Navidad" Julio Iglesias (Darn-it! that's more than a weekend
holiday.)And, sadly that also rules out Bing Crosby's- "White Christmas."
(Don't think he wrote it either....just came in off the back nine to croon for a moment.)

Ahh shucks, I give up! Can't wait till tomorrow!

Well I wouldn't call them simple songwriters, but:

Steve Earle (Valentine's Day) or

Van Morrison (Almost Independence Day)
