TO,,,or TOO,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I think I understand you perfectly 95% of the time. And my comprehension is probably at fault for a share of the 5%. Your English is infinitely better than my Dutch (I don't have any).
In the English language we have 3 words that sound like 'to':
- 'two' - the number 2
- 'too' - meaning also, or excessively, over doing it (as in 'too much')
- 'to', which is used everywhere else that you hear the sound 'to'.
Hopefully I haven't missed any meanings or words that sound the same.
I hope that helps.
Good luck.
Michele

Hi Willem. It's been fun watching your English improve massively over the past year and we all appreciate your humour and good nature and admire your ability to do all of this in a foreign language without holding back. English is so full of quirks (that's a cross between a captain of the Enterprise and an elementary particle) and special cases and colloquialisms. And many native English speakers confuse words like there, their and they're because they sound the same. I'm just happy there's a spelling checker in my browser so that I'm not confusing everyone with "creative" spelling!

Well Willem, I think that you can be proud of yourself for how well you're communicating here! I know that most of the folks from your generation do not speak english, or just a little, you're doing just fine and we read you loud and clear!
